요즘 Young guys가 사용하는 어휘들

어느 사회이든 학생이나 젊은 사람들 사이에서 사용하는 용어들이 있다.

영어에서도 이런 것들이 있는데 몇 개 알아보자.

1. To bum around (빈둥거림)

=>to hang around without doing anything.

2. Dough (돈)

=> money

3. To catch some z's (잠 좀 자라)

=> get some sleep

4. A nerd (한가지에 몰두하는 사람)

=> a socially impaired person who is obsessed with one hobby or pursuit e.g. computer game

5. A dude (주로 남자를 부를 때)

=> Person / Guy

6. Foxy (매력적인 여성을 지칭할 때)

=> Sexy / Attractive for women

7. Go mental (미쳐가는 것)

=> Crazy

ex) if you played game for a long time, you would go mental.

8. a jerk (무뢰하거나 불쾌한 사람)

=> An unpleasant or annoying person

9. to chill out (휴식을 취하는 것)

=> To relax

10. To hit the sack (자러가는 것)

=> To go to bed

11. To screw up (큰 실수를 했을 때)

=> To make a big mistake

12. A square (그냥 범생이?)

=> Someone who is not cool/fashionable

13. Threads (옷)

=> Clothes

14. To veg out (TV앞에서 먹고 노는 것)

=> To become a couch potato

15. Wheels (차)

=>A car

16. s'up (아주 친한 사이끼리 인사)

=>Very informal equivalent of "Hello"
