Whether or not

"Whether or not" 다 가지 상황에서 사용하는데, 

1) 첫번째는 두 개중에 어떤게 사실인지 모를 때

I don't know whether or not you can enter here. : 난 너가 여기에 들어갈 수 있는지 없는지 모른다.

= I don't know whether you can enter here or not.

I'm not sure whether or not you can enter here. 난 너가 여기에 들어갈 수 있는지 없는지 확실하지 않다.

= I'm not sure whether you can enter here or not.

2) 두번째는 두 개중에 떤게 사실인지 모르지만 신경쓰지 않을 때

I don't matter to me whether or not you come here. : 난 너가 여기에 오든지 말든지 문제가 되지 않어.

= I don't matter to me whether you come here or not.

I don't care whether or not you come here. : 난 너가 여기에 오든지 말든지 신경쓰지 않어.

= I don't care whether you come here or not.
